From Film Sets to Forever Spaces: The Story Behind Art Sense

There’s a certain chaos that lives on a film set.

Lights blazing. Carpenters hammering against time. Layers of paint drying under pressure. A world being built brick by brick, emotion by emotion only to exist for a few fleeting moments on screen.

And then… it’s gone.

For years, this was our reality.

I’m Shaharyar Ansari, and alongside my creative partner Alankar Shinde, we works as Art Directors in the world of Bollywood designing spaces that told stories, built atmospheres, and shaped emotions. We created homes that weren’t real, streets that didn’t exist, and worlds that disappeared as soon as the camera stopped rolling.

It was beautiful. It was intense.
But somewhere along the way, it started to feel incomplete.

The Realisation That Changed Everything

Every set we built had soul. Every wall had intention. Every object was placed with purpose.

But the truth was hard to ignore:

Everything we created was temporary.

Weeks of design. Days of execution.
And after the shoot… dismantled.

We began asking ourselves a simple but uncomfortable question:

What if the art we create could live beyond the frame?

That question stayed with us. It followed us from one project to another. And slowly, it started shaping a new vision.

The Shift: From Temporary Worlds to Permanent Art

We didn’t want to stop creating.
We wanted to create differently.

Instead of designing for the camera only, we wanted to design for real spaces also.

Spaces where people live, feel, and connect.

Spaces that don’t disappear.

That’s where the idea of Art Sense was born.

Not as a business decision but as a creative evolution.

We took everything we learned from film composition, detailing, emotional design and brought it into physical products.
